Original era manufacture. All cotton enlisted issue quality tunic and breeches as worn by an enlisted soldier during WWI. The tunic displays darkened bronze US & Engineer collar discs, a red wool Honorable Discharge stripe on the left sleeve, above the cuff, threehand sewn overseas stripes indicating 18 months service and above the right cuff, a single, hand sewn chevron indicating a wound. The cloth insignia looks to be recently installed, recently, like in the past decade or so, not 100 years ago. No large stains visible on the body of the tunic, or tears or fraying, size about a 40 short. Matching color enlisted breeches with a button fly front and button closure on the calves. There is some very minor, scattered staining but nothing terrible. There is one small hole at the crotch and a button is missing on the left leg, lastly an attempt by the original owner to give himself an extra belt loop was made on the back of the waistband, by cutting two small slits to accomplish the mission. Waist size 32, decent matching doughboy summer weight uniform set.
