Original period manufacture. Adopted from the British pattern in 1918, at the behest of General Pershing to conserve stocks of wool. Four internal pockets, with a full cotton lining, Schafner & Marx 1918 label sewn in the hem. No moth issues, size about a 38 regular. Issue quality wool breeches with lacing, 1918 Kalamazoo label in the pocket, waistband measures out to 32 inches, with an original trouser belt showing a 1902 patent date. No insignia other than a US & Infantry collar discs. Also included are a pair of olive wool wrap puttees, these show scattered mothing and are a bit mismatched color-wise, but are quite sound for display. Classic WWI uniform as worn by a Doughboy in France.
