Original era manufacture. Standard 1910 pattern wool coat with a makers tag in the hem which is dated 1917. No moth issues to report. USNG & Artillery discs on the collars. Honorable Discharge chevron and a single Overseas Stripe on the left sleeve, Corporal chevron on the right. All insignia was on the coat at the time of our purchase. No moth issues to report, small hole in the lining. size about a 38 regular. The 27th was a New York National Guard division, which sailed for France i in May 1918. It served with the British during the war, spending 57 days in active sectors and none in quiet sectors. It captured 2,357 POW's, and suffered the loss of 1,785 KIA, and 7,201 WIA.
