Original period manufacture. Summer weight army officers service coat, with Mexican Border & WWI Victory Medal ribbons above the left chest pocket. Officer quality darkened brass US emblems on the collar. There is a very clear tailor's tag inside the pocket dated February 1918 and named to W.B.Shippey who served on the Mexican Border and later in France with the 15th Cavalry. The coat is very clean showing light wear and use. Included with the coat at the time of our purchase is a pair of WWI era officers quality ribbed wool breeches. We have printed out several sheets of information off Ancestry, to include a newspaper account of his wedding to an English lady, and copies of his family tree entry.
