Original era manufacture. Nice complete set for display which contains the following, wool enlisted tunic, enlisted breeches, overseas cap, puttees and issue enlisted shirt. On the tunics left shoulder may be seen a period Railhead & Regulating SSI of four piece construction, US & Engineer Corps collar discs, all buttons present, size about a snug 40r. The tunic has a fully lined interior with a soldiers name written inside the breast pocket. The issue breeches have about a 38 inch waist and are very clean, one small grease stain on the left knee, no mothing. The wool overseas cap is mothhole free and features an Engineer disc on the left front. The shirt shows considerable wear and use and is in poor condition, standard puttees, we didn't unroll them to check for damage but presume them to be OK. The set is likely a composite set being assembled from from various sources. The tunic has some scattered mothing but nothing disastrous and is quite clean looking.
