Original period manufacture. Khaki canvas carrying bag with shoulder strap, WWI pattern strap securing buckle, andclearly stenciled design on the body of the bag. Headquarters Battery, 134th Field ArtilleryInside are four, red & white cotton signal flags of varying designs. All are basically sound, but some show staining from use and storage wear. Also, two machine turned wooden hand poles for the smaller size flags, and three metal poles sections which can be screwed together to attaching the larger size flags. During WWI the 134th FA regiment served with the 37th Infantry Division in France, seeing combat in the Meuse-Argonne and Ypres-Lys offensives.
