Original era manufacture. Issue binoculars with a black lacquered brass frame, individually adjustable eyepieces and a range grid in the left lens. The optics are properly aligned, with some spotting to the surface, range grid is canted to one side, and the eyepieces adjust although the left side is stripped a bit, but I got it to adjust OK. Original brown leather neck strap. The brown leather case is also B&L marked with a compass in it's lid. When issued the compass had a removable brass disc cover, this is missing. There is a belt loop on the reverse of the case, wide enough to slip over a cartridge belt. The shoulder strap is missing as is the spring loaded, leather covered closure tab.
