Original era manufacture. Standard British pattern helmet, with a handpainted 2nd Division emblem on its front. The white star and Indian head appear on a blue pentagon shaped background, indicating the wearer belonged to the 3rd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment. The original owners name is written on the white pad in the crown of the helmet, giving some good clues for further research.
