Original era manufacture. Wild, dazzle style paint finish on a standard WWI Doughboy helmet, no liner or chinstrap.At some point in it's life, a previous owner felt the need to test his marksmanship skills on this old helmet, perhaps a projectile penetration test done for amusement on some boring weekend afternoon.Numerous bullet strikes are in evidence on the crown, with only one partial penetration of the steel. Strong, vibrant colors to the camouflage paint.
