Original era manufacture. Standard US WWI canteen set, canteen, cup and cover.  Fairly clear US stencil on the tan canvas body, no holes or tears, just some staining from service use. Clear makers name and date inside the left flap; L-D Inc. 1917. Verdigris staining to the closure snaps and posts.  The aluminum canteen cup is maker marked AGM. Co.and dated 1918, original cork inside the cap.The aluminum cup has a folding alloy handle, maker marked LF & C 1918, Doughboy's initials scratched into the bottom of the cup; W.H.G. Minor denting to the canteen body, overall quite sound for its 100 year age.
