Original era manufacture. Standard US WWI canteen set, cover RIA 1917 marked inner flap. Very clear US stencil on the tan canvas body, no rips or tears, just some very minor staining from handling. The aluminum canteen is maker marked and dated 1918, the aluminum cup has a folding alloy handle, but is not marked.
