Original era manufacture. A beautiful example of the US WWI dismounted canteen, complete with its cup and canteen. The cover is near new, crisp original color to the fabric, clear US stencil, and maker marked under the securing flap, BRAUER BROS. MFG. CO. 2-1918. The only flaw in this otherwise perfect cover, are two spots of wear on the reverse, one on the edge, and the other just above.Dent-free, aluminum bodied canteen which is maker marked and dated on the reverse, US ACA 1918, the original cork is inside the screw-cap.Very clean aluminum cup, with an alloy folding handle, maker marked on the bottom, US. LF&C 1918. The cup is free of dents, but not quite as crisp as the canteen, just light use and wear.
