Original era manufacture. Khaki canvas cover with makers marks on the interior N.B. Co. 3-18. There is a faint U.S. stencil on the body, with numerous markings of soldiers issue numbers visible. US marked and 1918 dated aluminum canteen, unmarked, WWI style cup.The canteen is basically sound, with some light fraying around the bases of the stud fasteners on the cover body.
