Original period manufacture. Tan canvas cover with a very clear infantry stencil on the front, identifying the unit as 363rd Regiment, Company F, 135th soldier. Maker marked and 1917 dated under the left securing flap. Aluminum WWI pattern canteen which is marked A.G.M.CO 1918, no cork in the screw cap. marked WWI pattern aluminum cup, L.F.&C. 1918. Service staining to the cover, no holes, but some tearing of the fabric at the top of the belt hook securing strap. During WWI, the 91st Infantry Division saw combat service in the following engagements and offensives, St.Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne, earning the honorific title "Wild West Division".
