Original period manufacture. Tan canvas bandage pouch dated 1917 LCC & Co, and unit marked M.G. 138, 368 above which may be the individual soldier's number. Light age and wear, no damage. The 138th MG Battalion served with the US 38th (Cyclone) Division during WWII. National Guard troops who sailed for France in 1918 but never served at the front.
