Original era issue. US WWI numbered UDC Military Cross (3073) and newspaper article from Old South. Manufacture marked reverse, Medal Art Co., NY. Tattered old ribbon with a wrap-brooch suspension. The newspaper article, dated May 17th 1949, tells of the awarding of a UDC Military Cross to a C.H. Elswick. 1917-1918 date on the obverse of the medal. From an old Arizona collection.
