Original era manufacture. Standard Britishpattern WWI gasmask as used by the AEF during WWI.A nicely decorated and named cover depicting the crossed cannonswith center shell of the US Army Coastal Artillery Corps. The number 46 indictes the regiment number and the letter B the battery. The 46th CAR was raised in July 1918 and arrived in France on October 14 1918. They were armed with 155mm Guns. The mask and hose are intact with the mask being a bit crunchy as usual. The real prize here being the nicely decorated cover.
