Original period manufacture. Hand stamped aluminum disc, pair, normal age and wear.  Online search shows Sgt Louis M Schnell aboard the SS Port Denison bound for France on 6 June 1918. He returned to the US aboard the Caronia on 26 January 1919. Attached to the MG company, 331st Infantry regiment.
