Original era manufacture. Standard US production steel helmet with a rough texture combat finish, and 33rd Division emblem on the front. Complete with it's original liner and chinstrap. The "Prairie Division", Illinois National Guard sailed for France in May 1918, served with the Australians at Amiens. During the war it suffered the loss of 989 killed in action and 6,266 wounded in 59 days of frontline service.
