Original era manufacture. Standard WWI pattern Doughboy helmet with an original applied 78th Division emblem on one side. No liner, helmet's exterior shows normal service use and wear. The 78th fought in the St.Mihiel & Meuse-Argonne offensives and suffered the loss of over 7,000 casualties during WWI.
