Original era manufacture. Standard WWI pattern Doughboy helmet with an originalpainted 89th (Middle West) Division emblem on both sides with a maroon center, outlined in white for Divisional supply. No liner, with the shell showing normal age and wear. The 89th Division arrived in France in June of 1918 and fought in the St.Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives, they suffered the loss of over 7,000 casualties.
