Original era manufacture. This interesting relic has been in our own collection for several years, purchased here in Arizona, at a local gunshow.It consists of a well-used pocket watch, missing its hands, however when opening the rear cover, we see the period engraving; "Taken from German Lieut. Sept. 12/18 in St.M (St Mihiel) Drive".It comes with its original steel protective casing with a chamois lining, and a braided brown leather watch chain. The gentleman who we purchased the watch from is well known to us. He stated that he picked it up in an Antique Mall while looking at other vintage watches, he opened up the rear cover on this one and quite pleasantly surprised.
