Original period manufacture. All wood construction, clearly ink stamped "For Gas Alarm Use Only". Measures 11 inches in length, normal age and wear. On the opposite side the numbers 347 are stenciled, possibly indicating issue to the 347th Infantry Regiment. This regiment served in France during WWI with the 87th Division (Golden Acorn).
