Original era manufacture. Dark olive tan cotton one piece dress with a sailor style collar. All buttons are present, which are rimless, military style buttons, each displaying the Girl Scout emblem. The left epaulette button is loose but present, all others are sewn in place.Self belt at the waist with a single button closure. There is a GS insignia at each collar point and a single merit badge above the upper left pocket. Included with the dress is a matching period Boy Scout official canteen which was included with the dress at the time of our purchase.Interestingly, the cover has been turned inside-out and the canteen placed inside. This appears to have been done many years ago, perhaps to disguise the dreaded Boy Scout marked buttonsto the users eye. Size about a modern 4, shows normal use and wear but no damage or stains, just a few scattered snags. From our online research we see similar uniforms being worn from about 1915 into the 1920's. Neat old uniform.
