Original era manufacture. A verysound example with a bright finished blade in original polish with clear Springfield Arsenal markings, SA,and date of 1913. The blade exhibits minor staining and toning from age with zero corrosion pitting. Minor marring to the wood grips with original finish, no cracks or chips in the surface, brass pommel cap, with a S-shaped brass guard.Sound leather bodied scabbard with some scuffing to the leather surface, marked and dated at the bottom reverse, Rock Island Arsenal 1912. Krag style hanger with a blue steel finish.
