Original era manufacture. A nice old medal with it's original wrap brooch and planchet. Nice period engraving on the reverseof the planchet, C.S.C. No. 37860 OLIVE E. GLOVER, USS SCORPION SEPT 1, 19014. Normal age and wear. There is a story here, as the USS Scorpion was interned by the Ottoman Empire after the United States entered WWI on the side of the Allies in 1917. Olive E.Glover shows up on the 1910 census in San Francisco as a US Navy Sailor, born in 1888,
