Original era manufacture. A zinc plated steel, folding lantern with a bale handle. The clear side panels are not made of glass, but of thin sheets of mica, known as isinglass. The lantern measures roughly 4x4x10 inches and can fold up into a 7x4x1 inch rectangle. It has been used but is very sound, and could be used for its intended purpose today. Patent date of 1908 on its top.
