Original era manufacture. A rather ornate looking knife, with an 8.5 inch bowie style, polished steel blade. Heavy aluminum guard, with 12, saw-like projections on the outside. The nicely done aircraft Plexiglas grip is made from about a dozen individual segments, some with color inserts. Large, pyramid shaped brass pommel.Well made leather sheath of sewn construction. Normal age and wear overall.These are original WWII collector items, made by, or for soldiers fighting in the Pacific and European Theaters during the war; sold as collector items only.The possession of these knives in some states/countries is prohibited.
