Original era manufacture. Large frame, darkened brass compass with a magnetic dial which still (albeit a bit more slowly now then in 1918) points north. There is a self locking button on the side of the compass which activates when you lower the cover. Serial numbered on the reverse. Little of the darkened finish now remains on the brass casing.
