Original era manufacture. A nice little grouping from one Doughboy who served in the 5th Machinegun Battalion, 2nd US Infantry Division during WWI. The lot includes his Victory medal with 5 bars, Aisne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse Argonne and Defense Sector, a VFW medal, and his wrist-worn, aluminum ID tag which gives details of his unit, his name and his service number. Also included, is some preliminary research results I have done which include a copy of his Record of Burial in 1962, his Veteran's Compensation Application from 1934, which gives details of his service and a statement of receiving a Gunshot Wound, Right Leg, A nice little grouping with plenty of research potential.
