Original era manufacture. Nice little lot of medals awarded to Private E.E. Cooley. the lot includes a named City of Albany Victory Medal, numbered State of New York Victory Medal, his three clasp WWI Victory medal, St Mihiel-Meuse Argonne-Defensive Sector, several VFW reunion medals, a VFW watch fob and a rather tattered ribbon bar.All of the items come in a small paper box, the New York Victory medal has its own original issue box. Normal age and wear. Checking Ancestry this morning, I found a listing for an Elbert E. Cooley, who served in Battery A, 309th Field Artillery, 78th Division during WWI. He served overseas from June 1918, to May 1919. Private Cooley was from Albany.
