Item #68378 : Original period manufacture. An interesting grouping which was first offered for sale back in June of 2000 on EBAY. A copy of the original listing with description and photograph of the group is included. The (then) seller stated that he purchased it from the veteran himself and provides a nice description of the set. We purchased the group from the original EBAY buyer, a collector friend we have known for over 40 years. The grouping includes a WWI US Navy enlisted jumper with a first class Aviation QM sleeve rate, two place ribbon bar, WWI Victory & Good Conduct Ribbon, matching era blue wool trousers, both are named to J.S. Coleman. Italian manufactured US Navy flat hat with US Naval Air Station cap ribbon. The lining of the hat is stamped by the Italian maker with name and address, and a pair of pointed toe black leather shoes. Our friend added a period Navy enlisted tie to round out the set. Overall, no moth issues, scarce WWI Naval Aviation set.
