Original era manufacture. Olive drab, ribbed wool hat with piping that has faded to a buff color, but is in fact Infantry blue. Affixed to the left front of the hat is a Captain's rank insignia.Pale yellow silk lining with a pliable leather sweatband; on the underside of the sweatband is the name Wm.G. Brown and 160th Inf. No moth issues to report, normal age and wear.
