Original era manufacture. Standard pattern mask carrier with shoulder strap and body tie string intact. Only the mask and hose remain, the canister is missing. Clearly named on the body of the carrier to  T.T. Smith, 64th Artillery, France, Radio Sgt, CAC. AEF. The 64th Coastal Artillery Regiment arrived in France in September 1918.
