Original era manufacture. Very sound, tan khaki canvas carrying satchel with an adjustable shoulder strap, and twine body tie. On the underside of the flap cover is a very clear date of 1917. The mask has stiffened from age, however the eyepieces remain clear. The black cotton head harness is complete,but stretched a bit, the flutter valve is long gone as usual.  The pliable hose is not crushed, and still attached to the mask, yellow painted original filter canister.  The demisting can is present as is the instruction tag which is named to Pvt. Hugh C. Darrs Battery A, 151 F.A. They formed part of the 42nd Division in France during WWI.
