Original era manufacture. A rather scarce hat, being the style of rimmed fatigue hat used by the US Army up into the early 1940's. Originally produced in tan cotton as our example, then blue denim, and finally light OD cotton. This hat is basically in unused condition with a very clear makers tag from the Hills Co. of Amherst, Mass. dated 1918 and size marked 7.
