Original period manufacture. Uncut, 16 inch bladed bayonet made by Springfield Armory and dated 1917. Re-finished for WWII issue with a dark parkerized surface. Postwar dark finish to the guard and pommel, with a serial number A3498 on the guard. The blade has not been sharpened, no nicks in the cutting edge. Original darkbrown plastic grips. Original GI OD plastic scabbard with the Ordnance Bomb insignia on the steel scabbard throat, and an old GI OD overpaint.
