Original period manufacture. A full 16 inch length bayonet made by Springfield Arsenal in 1911. The blade is in general good repair with scattered areas of staining and surface corrosion visible, and a steel patina finish. Matching patina finish to the guard and pommel, lock button works properly. The original rough hewn wooden are in place, with the left grip plate displaying a repairable crack which runs its length.
