Original era manufacture. 1918 dated steel patina blade maker marked SA for Springfield Arsenal. Light amount of cleaned corrosion on the ricasso, pleasing even steel patina overall. Decent walnut grips with a nice lustre, bit of marring to the upper edge on the right grip plate. The canvas covered, side stitched scabbard is sometimes attributed to USMC issue. The canvas shows age darkening and staining from age and use with the leather tip stitching open at the tip.
