Original period manufacture. A very sound example of one of the two classic American bayonets of WWI. Springfield Arsenal manufacture and dated 1906, with a blue finish to the blade, with no nicks or sharpening. Sound original finish grips, of rough-hewn walnut. Blue steel and patina finish to the guard and pommel.Very nice canvas covered wooden bodied scabbard, with a leather chape, and a M1910 belt loop suspension. Surface scuffing to the scabbard chape.
