Original period manufacture. A very sound example of a classic American bayonet of WWI. Springfield Arsenal manufacture and dated 1917, mix of blue and steel patina finish to the blade, with no nicks or sharpening. Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel.Original rough hewn wooden grips, with a thin surface scratch in the left side grip plate.  Sound canvas covered wooden bodied scabbard, with a leather chape, and a M1910 belt loop suspension. Surface scuffing to the scabbard tip, sound old bayonet of the Great War.
