Original period manufacture. A very clean example of the classic WWI Springfield rifle bayonet, retaining nearly 100% of its original parkerized finish. No nicks in the cutting edge, and the point is sharp. Matching finish to the guard and pommel with an operable lock button. Rough hewn walnut grips in original finish. The canvas covered wooden scabbard is sound, displaying some minor staining to the fabric on one side, the leather tip shows scuffing to the surface but not splits in the stitching.
