Original period manufacture. Uncut, 16 inch bladed bayonet made by Springfield Armory and dated 1915. Finished in the bright with a thin band of blue at the base,no nicks in the cutting edge, minor age staining to the surface, and there is a very tiny bend at the point.Dark steel and blue finish to the guard and pommel, the lock button works properly, and the rough-hewn grips are in original finish. No cracks or chips.Very nice original finish OD plastic scabbard with an Ordnance Bomb proofed steel scabbard throat.
