Original era manufacture. A pre-war design, with a lock mechanism on the guard, and a bright finished blade. The blade ricasso displays the serial number 8846, 1912 date, and maker marked SA (Springfield Arsenal). Original bright finish, displaying normal age and wear, with no corrosion pitting.Blue finished guard and pommel, with rough-hewn walnut grips with a varnish finish. Typical canvas & leather covered wooden sheath, maker marked and dated, Brauer Brothers 1918.
