Original era manufacture. Standard WWI style knapsack or haversack with its matching condition meatcan pouch. Matching Infantry equipment tags on pouch and haversack of crossed rifles, 38 E, indicating Company E, 38th Infantry Regiment. During WWI the 38th served with the 3rd (Rock of the Marne)Infantry Division. Named on the reverse, normal age and wear.
