Original period manufacture. A solid example of this large pattern sword, being the last pattern sword issued to the US Cavalry. The blade runs fairly straight, with an even steel patina finish to the surface. L.F.&C makers, with a faint date of 1918. The steel guard has been cleaned, and flattened on the bow, sound black plastic grips. Original unpainted canvas covered wooden scabbard with two carrying rings at the throat.
