Original period manufacture. Full length example of this large pattern sword, last model issued to the US Cavalry. The blade is bright, runs straight and true, scattered staining to the surface, with a few nicks in the cutting edge. Minor corrosion staining on the ricasso. Heavy black painted steel guard, mixed with steel patina finish.  A decent old sword needing a scabbard.
