Original period manufacture. Full length example of this large pattern sword, last model issued to the US Cavalry. The blade runs straight and true, with scattered areas of old cleaned corrosion and light pitting along its length. Black painted finish to the guard and backstrap, with black plastic grips. OD canvas covered scabbard, displaying a dark OD paint finish. Stenciled on one side of the scabbard near the drag is A112, which I believe indicates Troop A, 112th Cavalry.
