Original era manufacture. Standard pattern US M1917 bayonet, in very clean originalcondition. At present, the blade exhibits a bright finish with no sharpening or corrosion issues, clear makers and issue marks, and a very sharp tip.Mix of blue finish and an old OD over-paint to the guard and pommel, with original finish wood grips in sound condition, just displaying light bumping and marring from service use. The leather bodied scabbard is quite sound, exhibiting and old, grayish colored paint to the surface with the original OD finish peeking through.A sound old bayonet which shows honest service use.
