Original era manufacture. Originally produced under British contract in 1915, but upon America's entry into WWI, the British markings were crossed out and a US 1917 date applied.Uncut bright finish blade displaying intelligent service sharpening to the cutting edge. No corrosion issues to report. Blue finish to the guard and pommel, with a very nice pair of dark walnut grips.Second pattern scabbard, with a green painted leather body and a blue finish to the scabbard throat and chape.
